Melbourne Knights have turned to stalwart Marijan Cvitkovic to take on the role of captain-coach for tomorrow night’s FFA Cup clash with Avondale.

The Knights are expected to announce a permanent coach following the cup clash at Knights Stadium from 7.45pm.

In women’s NPL, Calder United had that bitter taste of defeat for only the second time this season.

Calder went down 3-1 to Box Hill United on the road at Wembley Park.

It means that Calder’s lead at the top of the ladder has been slashed to five.

Calder will kick-start June with home date with Heidelberg United at Keilor Park Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
