With three rounds to go, all is not lost for Altona, as they remain clinging to a spot in the top eight.

However, the Seagulls cannot afford a slip up now, otherwise some hungry teams on the outer could seize control of their finals’ spot.

Altona will be looking to reload for a crucial away game against high flying Camberwell at Matlock Reserve on Saturday.

It will be a good chance for the Seagulls to flash their finals’ credentials.

Footscray is flying high in fourth spot after a 4-1 win over Melbourne University.
