Epping put together an even team batting performance against Bundoora in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association’s Barclay Shield on Saturday.

Hoping to bounce back after their first loss of the season just before Christmas, the Pingers would be happy with where they sit after day one against bottom side Bundoora.

The Pingers made 6-245 from their overs.

The batsmen shared the runs around with six players hitting between 29 and 51 runs. Josh Henkel top scored with 51.

For the Bulls, Dean Fisher took 4-73 off 16 overs. 

In the Money Shield, Lalor Stars are well on track for victory against Old Paradians.

Old Paradians made 153, as it was bowled out in the 59th over.

Chathura Rathnaweera Patabedige top scored making 53.

The Stars were in control late in the day and will resume at 1-66.

Aaron Amos did most of the early damage and will resume on 41 not out.

Mill Park was bowled out for 158 against Lower Plenty.

Dalton Polius was the pick of the batsman making 41.

Lower Plenty will resume at 2-53, with Rayan Williams taking both wickers for Mill Park. 

Bundoora United will need a good day with the bat against Montmorency if it is to take the points.

Montmorency was bowled out for 224 in the second last over of its innings. Ruwinda Shaman was the star of the show, making 114.

The Bulldogs got through one over unscathed and will resume at 0-4.

Eltham made 9-175 against Mernda. 

The Demons bowlers shared the wickets around, with six different bowlers taking wickets.

In the Mash Shield, South Morang has already conceded first innings points against Diamond Creek.

South Morang was bowled out for 60, before Diamond Creek made 4-94.

South Morang is 2-11 in its second innings.

Whittlesea has a big run chase against Panton Hill , Thomastown made 212 against Hurstbridge, Bundoora Park is 0-9 in reply to Greensborough and Laurimar is 0-7 needing 239 for victory against Thomastown United.
