Bundoora RSL is the team to beat in Bowls Victoria pennant premier division.

With just one loss from the first 13 rounds, Bundoora has cleared out at the top of table, sitting 30 points clear.

On Saturday, all matches in the premier division went ahead despite rain falling across Melbourne.

Bundoora travelled to Essendon and came away with an 87 (16)-70 (2) win.

Gary Kelly’s rink won 24-13, Josh Corless’ rink won 27-21 and Luke Aiello’s rink came away with a 19-15 win.

In division 1, section 1, Bundoora had a close win against St Kilda,winning 82 (16)-77 (2).

Bundoora sits in fourth spot.

Ladder leaders Whittlesea had a draw with no action due to the rain in its match against Moonee Valley.

It was the same in Lalor’s match against Ivanhoe.

In division 2, section 2, Craigieburn had to watch on as rain ruined their chances against Moonee Valley.

The nine points sees them sit 28 points clear on top.

In section 3, Bundoora’s good day continued with victory against Epping RSL. Bundoora winning 82 (16)-54 (2).

Bundoora sits third with just nine points separating the top three teams. Epping sits on the bottom.
