It’s time to get in the frame for a good cause. Hoppers Crossing photographer Imran Abul Kashem will hold a fundraising event for the Werribee Mercy Hospital this week.

Mr Kashem, who runs Westend Photography, said the “It’s Time To Shine Fundraiser” would be held on the weekend of July 20 and 21.

He said that during the fundraiser, he would take head-and-shoulders photos of attendees, for them to use on social media, a website or personal branding. He said that each photo session would go for between 10 to 15 minutes.

Mr Kashem said that participants would pay $50 for the session and photos. Half of the price will be donated to the Werribee Hospital Foundation, and the other half of the price will go towards costs of the fundraising event.

Mr Kashem came to Australia, from his native Bangladesh, in 2008. He has two children, Taha and Tanna, with wife Nina Razzak.

Mr Kashem said that Tanna was born in the Werribee Mercy Hospital.

“My wife and I feel grateful that we have such a wonderful hospital in our municipality,” he said.

“Australians may not realise how lucky we are compared to the hospital facilities in rural Bangladesh.” Mr Kashem said he wanted to “give something back to the hospital” and that the fundraising event was the best way for him to do so.
