Myrniong is set to come alive with colour and fun next month, as the hugely successful Foam Fest returns to St Anne’s Vineyard.
The event – one of the largest fun runs in Canada – made it’s Australian debut last summer after hitting 30 cities worldwide, and will kick off again on November 30 before touring six locations around the country.
Up to 5000 participants will descend on each location daily to take on 22 fun-filled obstacles including the world’s largest inflatable water slide, bouncy castles, mud pits and cargo climb, and more than 2.5 million cubic feet of all natural foam.
Jesse Fulton, Founder and President of 365 Sports, the organisation behind the event, said Australia’s strong appetite for The 5K Foam Fest justified a bigger and better 2019 line-up.
“We were delighted with Australia’s response to Foam Fest last year and not only are we landing in a new location for the first time in 2019, the festival experience is going to have a lot more variety and people can expect an awesome new finish line obstacle,” Mr Fulton said.
“The market for fun runs and obstacle courses is booming globally and the beauty of our event is it offers something unique for people of all ages and abilities.
“With Australia’s appetite for fun, adventure and the outdoors, we are tipping strong appeal for this event for many years to come as more and more people mark it on their calendar.”
The event will also raise funds for Make-A-Wish Australia, after donating $40,000 to the charity last year.
“While for many, Foam Fest is simply about a family or group of mates getting together to get filthy clean across the course, underpinning the event is the chance to support a very worthy charity with every ticket sold and we hope to be able to continue this support for many years to come,” Mr Fulton said.
Early bird tickets are available for the event until November 8.
