Police have arrested two men following the seizure of drugs, including cocaine and MDMA, at two properties in Truganina and Wyndham Vale.

Detectives from Altona North Divisional Response Unit, alongside investigators from Joint Task Force ICARUS, charged the men following an investigation into the importation of illicit drugs.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence Portland Avenue, Truganina on Wednesday and arrested a 22-year-old man.

He has since been charged with importing a marketable quantity of MDMA, importing a traffickable quantity of cocaine and possessing LSD.

The man has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 4.

Yesterday, police arrested a second man. A subsequent search of a house in Lancewood Road, Wyndham Vale led to the seizure of a quantity of illicit and prescription drugs.

The 21-year-old Wyndham Vale man has since been charged with two counts of importing a marketable quantity of MDMA; trafficking MDMA; three counts of importing a traffickable quantity of cocaine; two counts of trafficking cocaine; importing a marketable quantity of LSD; and other drug possession charges

He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on April 17.

Joint Taskforce Icarus is comprised of officers from Victoria Police, the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Border Force.
