A much-loved Aussie personality is on board as the new face of Avalon Airport.
Entertainer Shane Jacobson is working with the airport to promote its growing international and domestic flight services.
Mr Jacobson said he was happy to collaborate with Avalon.
I’m so excited to be part of an airport that is actively making travel more affordable and less hassle for everyday Australians to explore not only our own country but take a bit of a break abroad,” he said.
“We’re going to make the hard bits simple and leave the fun bit fun,” he said.
Avalon Airport chief executive Justin Giddings said Mr Jacobson was a “perfect fit”.
“He is well-loved, warm, friendly, funny and an all-round good bloke,” Mr Giddings said.
“With Shane’s help, we want to educate Victorians and bring awareness to the fact that it’s easier to travel with Avalon Airport… from quality of service and punctuality to ease of parking and checking-in, flying can be easy, stress-free and an enjoyable experience.”
The airport last weekend kicked off a packed events calendar with the first flight touching down from Bali with Indonesian airline Citilink.
“Bali has been our most requested international destination so it’s fantastic to see Citilink Indonesia commence daily flights between Avalon Airport and Denpasar, Bali,” Mr Giddings said.
