The RACV is calling on commuters to take part in its On Track Survey.

The biennial survey gives commuters the chance to rate their local stations and train journeys.

According to the most recent survey, Sunbury station was rated a 6.67 out of 10. Footscray was ranked the best station on the Sunbury line, rating a 7.25 out of 10 and Albion station was listed as the worst station on the line, with commuters rating it a 5.21 out of 10.

Difficulty finding a car park was cited as the most common problem at Sunbury station, while infrequent services were the main issue with the Sunbury line.

RACV transport, planning and infrastructure senior manager Peter Kartsidimas said commuter responses to the survey would be used to campaign for better transport projects.

“Train users can tell us what they really think,” he said.

“What is the state of your local station? Does it need repairs? Do you feel safe? Is there enough parking?

“We also want to know if your train is overcrowded, frequently late or regularly cancelled.

“The results of this survey can help us directly influence future planning and improvements in rail facilities.

“You don’t need to be a regular train traveller to take part in the survey. We’d encourage you to take the 2019 RACV On Track Survey and make train travel better for all Victorians.”

RACV’s On Track Survey closes on Wednesday, November 20.
