One of Australia’s biggest food truck carnivals will roll into Craigieburn next month to raise money to help sick children.
The Food Truck Carnival Company has chosen Craigieburn as one of the stops on a Melbourne-wide fundraiser for the Monash Children’s hospital.
Organiser Danny Grant said he hopes the 12 planned food truck carnivals will raise between $150,000 and $200,000 for the hospital.
“We attracted 50,000 people to our inaugural food truck carnival in Berwick in March and thought it would be awesome to be able to use these large crowds to help a worthy cause,” Mr Grant said.
“At the same time, we are giving families the opportunity to enjoy Melbourne’s premium offering of food trucks and carnival entertainment, which isn’t normally available in the city’s outskirts.”
The carnival will run for four days from February 10-12, offering food and drink trucks, children’s rides. balloon-twisters and stilt walkers.
“We’re trying to build a breath-taking carnival atmosphere for people of all ages to enjoy,” Mr Grant said.
The food truck carnival will be at Craigieburn Sporting Club, 235 Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn. Entry is free.
