ANN Lo, Albert Yew and Jessie Chan are busy preparing for the Chinese Moon Festival in Whittlesea. Mr Yew, of the Whittlesea Chinese Association, said it was one of the most important festivals in China.
‘‘It is an evening celebration when families gather together to light lanterns, eat moon cakes and appreciate the round moon.’’
The association will share traditional songs, dance and moon cakes at the Lalor Library, 2B May Road, Lalor, on Saturday, September 29, from 1pm to 3pm.
