Werribee Districts burst out of the blocks in a 54-point win over St Albans at Kings Park Reserve in the Western Region Football League division 1 on Saturday.

The Tigers set up their big victory with a first-quarter blitz, piling on seven goals to nil to lead by 44 at quarter-time and leave the Saints shell-shocked.

St Albans had some joy with four goals to one in the second quarter, but could only manage one goal thereafter as the Tigers put the clamps on its scoring.

Andrew Panayi was at his sneaky best for Werribee Districts with four goals.

Chris Molivas, Jarryn McCormack and Bailey Siwek were the other Tigers to stand out.

Dean Cachia was the focal point for the Suns with four goals.

Tarneit out-classed Laverton by 58 points at Wootten Road Reserve.

Todd Lawrie kicked four goals in a best-afield display for the Titans.
