For a second successive round, the scores were piled on by the batting teams on the opening day of matches.

Simon Barry took four wickets for Ashfield, with the fifth being a run out.
East Sunbury also has a chase on its hands against Bacchus Marsh.
The Bulls made 303, bowled out in the 65th over. Lachlan Wilkins was the standout bowler with 7-68.

The Eagles did the damage early on with an opening partnership of 180.
While Macedon isn’t chasing a score near 300, it will still need a good innings to beat Gisborne. The Dragons made 236, with Oliver Clough taking three wickets for Macedon.
In the other game, Wallan is well on its way to victory against Riddell.
The Magpies will resume at 3-71, chasing Riddell’s 174.
