The Yarraville Festival returns to the heart of the village this month featuring a bigger footprint than ever before.
The festival will transform Yarraville on February 18 with stalls of all descriptions and five stages for a range of entertainment.
Local makers and artists, community groups and food stalls will line the streets while carnival rides and amusements will provide plenty of fun and colour for all ages.
Live music and entertainment will feature performances from established musicians and some of the best young talent the area has to offer.
Yarraville Festival committee’s Carla Smith said the festival footprint will expand west along Anderson Street this year, all the way to Fehon Street.
“The festival is still one of the biggest westside events, with five stages of entertainment rides and a petting zoo,” she said.
“However, this year and for years to come, we want a larger focus on ‘community’ and ‘local’.”
The festival pet parade is again set to be one of the event’s highlights as dogs of all shapes and sizes dress up and show off their best tricks in a bid to take out the ‘best in show’.
The 2018 festival will be held 10am-7pm Sunday, February 18.
