Wyndham residents can hear first-hand what’s happening in their area at the council’s upcoming listening posts.

The community sessions will be held over the coming months, giving residents the chance to hear about upcoming plans, provide input into projects or initiatives out for consultation, or just a chance to meet councillors and council officers.

Mayor Henry Barlow encouraged residents to attend the listening posts and engage with the council.

“At Wyndham we pride ourselves on how well we engage with our community,” he said.

“In our latest community satisfaction survey, the majority of you – the residents – told us that you were satisfied with the way we consult and engage.

“You also told us that you were pleased with the way that we provide information to residents. We want to keep building on that … which is why we’re heading out to talk to you.”

Cr Barlow said the listening posts were just one of the many ways the council communicates important information with residents. He urged anyone who couldn’t attend to call the council, send an email or drop in to the council offices.

Listening posts will be held on Saturday, October 14 at Williams Landing Shopping Centre, from 11am-1pm, and Saturday, November 18 at Hoppers Crossing Shopping Centre, from 11am-1pm.
