Seven teenagers have been arrested following an alleged series of residential burglaries and vehicles thefts across Melbourne’s north-west in October and November.

Police from Hume Crime Investigation Unit executed warrants at addresses in Meadow Heights, Campbellfield, Roxburgh Park and Dallas yesterday, seizing seven vehicles, jewellery, stolen tools, an imitation firearm, stolen registration plates and a quantity of cannabis.

Two 17-year-old boys from Meadow Heights and Dallas were each charged with 46 offences, including burglaries and vehicle thefts.

A 15-year-old boy from Meadow Heights was charged with 12 offences, including burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

All three boys have been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 19-year-old Roxburgh Park man was charged with five offences and was bailed to face Broadmeadows magistrates court on February 20.

A 18-year-old Campbellfield man was charged with three offences, including possessing counterfeit money and careless driving. He was bailed to appear at Broadmeadows magistrates court on February 18.

A 16-year-old boy from Roxburgh Park was released pending summons, while an 18-year-old Roxburgh Park man was charged with possessing cannabis and was issued with an official caution.

The investigation is ongoing.
