Caroline Springs RSL volunteers will be out in force for their annual poppy drive.
RSL membership officer Peter Burquest said the drive enabled the sub-branch to remember those who served, as well as connect with the community.
“Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on those who have served and those who gave their life for the country to prosper,” he said. “It’s also time to thank those who are still serving and pray for their safety during their deployments.”
Volunteers will be at the Caroline Springs, Taylors Hill and Watervale shopping centres and Bunnings Warehouse Caroline Springs in the lead-up to Remembrance Day, November 11.
Mr Burquest asked the community to give generously.
“We’d love to see members of the public, our many schools and businesses in the region support the campaign when you see the volunteers out there selling poppies,” he said.
