Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are still searching for a fourth person who they believe was involved in a home invasion in Delahey during which a man was shot.
Police allege four people forced entry into a house on Hackett Court about 3.20am on October 18.
A resident in the house, a 37-year-old man, sustained head injuries when a scuffle broke out.
A firearm was discharged during the incident and the intruders fled.
Police located a man a short distance away with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital and remains on life support.
A 34-year-old man from Sunshine West and a 31-year-old woman from Kings Park have been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, home invasion, armed robbery and false imprisonment.
Both are in custody. The male is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on January 18.
A 37-year-old year old, believed to be a resident of the house, is in custody charged with intentionally cause serious injury and is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on January 17.
Police are still searching for a fourth man and have issued a warrant for the arrest of 35-year-old Matthew Thomas.
Thomas is known to frequent the Deer Park and Sunshine areas.
Police have released an image of Thomas in the hope that someone can provide information as to his current whereabouts.
