Calling all little people and their carers – New Gisborne Playgroup is looking for more members.
President Helen Barnett is encouraging new families to join the playgroup community.
Ms Barnett said she knew a number of locals whose greatest friendships had begun years ago at the playgroup.
The self-sufficient program runs out of New Gisborne’s historic Ross Watt Children’s Hall, which was built as a playspace for children more than 100 years ago.
“It’s such a great facility,” Ms Barnett said.
The hall offers a huge range of toys, supplies and activities, with most being suitable for indoors to cater for the upcoming winter months.
After running for years, the playgroup’s membership has recently dropped, and is in need of a boost to continue running in the long term.
