Watergardens is coming alive in the school holidays with a series of activities and performances giving families plenty to do.

A rotating range of kids games and activities, including giant chess and jenga, mini-golf, face painting and superhero appearances, will be at The Flavour Institute at the Taylors Lakes centre until July 14.

Site manager Kelsey Javornik said there was something for everyone.

“We find the giant chess and jenga are very popular with the kids, and the mini-golf as well has been a hit,” Ms Javornik said.

“We’ve got a new cafe that’s just opened up which is great for mums … next to the kids’ area, so it’s perfect to come down for a coffee while the kids go off and have a bit of fun.”

As well as the games, Batman will make an appearance on July 10 and there will be a music education academy on July 11 and 12.

On top of the regular Flavour Institute restaurants, there will be market stalls on Friday’s and Saturday’s.

“The Flavour Institute has been open for about two months now and we’ve tried to do a bit of everything in that time,” Ms Javornik said.

“We’ve got things planned through until December.

“But these activities at the moment are lots of fun – so the more that can come down and enjoy them the better.”
