Leaders in business will share their ideas, inspiration and experiences with attendees of two upcoming forums in Macedon.

Macedon Ranges council will host farmers and agribusinesses on August 1 to learn more about the future of farming in the region, with guest speakers film producer Jerry Grayson, a drone filming specialist, and Professor Robert Faggian, who will discuss adapting to climate change.

On August 9, the women in business networking lunch will be held to acknowledge the achievements of women and the important role they play in business within the Macedon Ranges.

Guest speakers, including Diana Abruzzi from the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry and Aromababy owner Catherine Cervasio, will share their knowledge on export and entrepreneurship, product development, consultancy and education, international trade, marketing and branding. Mayor Jennifer Anderson said both events promise plenty of food for thought for those in the industry.

“We’re really lucky to be able to offer residents working in the agricultural industry the chance to find out more about the latest trends locally,” Cr Anderson said of the farming forum.

She said the business networking luncheon encouraged women to share their experiences and forge new relationships.

Limited places are available so it is important to book early. Both events cost $40 for Macedon Ranges businesses, and $60 for businesses outside the shire.
