Planting Kororoit Creek
A community planting day will be held at Kororoit Creek on May 22 from 10am until noon. Attendees can plant wildflowers, trees and small shrubs into patches of remnant escarpment vegetation along the creek. Meet at the playground opposite 66 Millbank Drive. Bring along your own gardening gloves, water bottle and wear sturdy shoes, long trousers, long sleeved top and a hat. Children under 16 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult.

Street soccer and basketball competitions will be held at RT Pollard Gardens every Friday until the end of April as part of Brimbank council’s bactive@Pollard program. Players aged from 12-25 should gather at the corner of Hampshire Road and Corio Street in Sunshine from 4.30pm. There will also be tai chi on Thursdays (8am to 9am), Powerfit from 8am and yoga in the park from 9.30am on Saturdays.

Brimbank business owners can register for a new workshop series designed to build the right skills for running a successful business. Marketing for growth will be held on April 20, 6-9.30pm, and doing business in a digital world on May 4, from 6-8pm, at Brimbank council’s Keilor offices.

Burgle bonanza in Sunshine

Free digital literacy sessions for older residents, run by YouthNow, are on at five Brimbank libraries until the end of May.
